Naming study · round 3 · June 12, 2026 · the sniper round

Forty lenses aimed at the bullseye. Nothing beat Winslow.

Round 3 inverted the funnel: 40 lenses targeted exactly what two rounds proved wins (invented-but-believable surnames, the friend root, Spanish-friendly onsets), names were deduped against all 2,528 priors, domains were checked BEFORE the expensive web screens, and the judges scored 24 survivors against Winslow and Leland sitting in the field as benchmarks. The verdict: Winslow re-scored 8.4 with 9 of 10 top-3 votes — the field chased it and nobody caught it.

The verdict after 3,682 names: Winslow. Three rounds, three panels, and it wins every field it enters — this round by two full points. The funnel has converged. Next moves: grab winslowcare.com + joinwinslow.com ($23), take Winslow to USPTO counsel (the flag: Winslow Indian Health Care Center, AZ, geographic), and keep Holloway, Elmore, and Colebrook as the backup bench.

The final leaderboard — all three rounds

Panels drift between rounds (this one ran hot: Winslow 7.3→8.4), so the honest ranking metric is the gap to Winslow measured inside the same panel. No round-3 name came within 1.9 points.
